It all began in 2018, when a suitcase and fifteen bags of coffee marked the start of a new path for Sebastián Hincapié Duque. Leaving behind the office routine in Bogotá, an encounter with an unknown coffee—sparked by an intuitive call to Yesid Valencia—awakened a deep passion for specialty coffee and its ability to connect people.

The early years were about exploration and learning: constant trials, filtering methods, bean origins, and an aesthetic quest born between an imperfect French press and an iPhone 4 camera. With Eugenia's mentorship, curiosity found structure and vision. From industrial engineering, coffee transformed from a hobby into a life project designed to grow with coherence and purpose.

In 2023, under the sky of Medellín, that vision took shape. Investment in specialized machines and the creation of a physical space turned risk into a place dedicated to well-crafted coffee. Alongside masters like Julián, espresso and cappuccino technique merged with the rigor of cupping and management, elevating the experience in every cup.

Today, Coctel Coffee is more than a shop: it's a meeting point where technique, passion, and service come together. Every drink we serve is a way of honoring the journey and sharing with the community a coffee made with intention, respect, and love.
